Merab Dvalishvili Has Staph Infection? Cut Over His Eye? Sean O'Malley By KO At UFC 306?

Sean O’Malley is the centerpiece of the entire UFC Noche fight card. The champion will defend his title against the number one challenger, Merab Dvalishvili, in a five-round bantamweight bout. The excitement has reached a new level with barely a week till the battle. O’Malley is confident in his chances and has a strong warning for his opponent.

A few weeks ago, Merab Dvalishvili got a cut during his training and posted it on social media. Dvalishvili got slammed by O’Malley for putting the fight card in danger by getting injured. The Georgian fighter also got an earful from Dana White, who didn’t like publicly showing the injury. White believed against a sharp striker like O’Malley, it could be dangerous. As it turns out, ‘Suga’ is already on to it.

I am 100% going to open up that cut whether it’s healed or not…that’s the left side of his face, this right hand doesn’t miss

O’Malley seconded White’s comments about Dvalishvili’s ‘stupid decision‘ to post the cut. He also mocked Dvalishvili’s nose and mentioned how he would connect strikes with ease. O’Malley, in his last few fights, has repeatedly put on striking masterclasses and is planning to continue the momentum. Dvalishvili will need to perform perfectly on fight night to overcome the threat posed by O’Malley.

Since the announcement of the fight, the rivalry between O’Malley and Dvalishvili has come a long way. From hilarious skit wars to serious confrontations, both fighters can’t wait to destroy each other once the cage is closed. On top of that, the promotion is doing its best to make the Las Vegas Sphere event as iconic as possible.

Sean O’Malley hyped about this latest UFC Noche development

Hosting UFC Noche inside the Las Vegas Sphere is a dream project for Dana White. The CEO has already spent over $20 million to make everything grandeur. Recent news has suggested that the promotion intends to run a film that will be told in chapters celebrating Mexico’s contribution. It will serve as interludes in between the fights.

Academy Award-nominated producer Carlos Lopez Estrada and director Glenn Weiss, known for hosting live Oscars, are involved in the production. It seems like White has left no stone unturned to make the dream possible. Sean O’Malley is also hyped about this recent update and shared his excitement after getting a brief from White.

Dana just walked me through the event. HOLY SHITTTTTTT!!! INSANE.

Nevertheless, the promotion is now having problems selling tickets in the thick of everything. There are over 1,700 unsold tickets for the fight one week out. Although the lackluster fight card is being blamed by fans, high ticket costs may also be the cause. Still, it will be interesting to see if it proves to be a hit-or-miss case for White and the UFC.
