One Mike to the next for Jake Paul

Jake Paul is over the high moons after utter domination over Mike Perry. Perhaps it was his best one to date. There’d obviously be the “Paul bad” bandwagon people who’d say ‘Platinum’ was worse than Paul was better. Meanwhile, not everyone was impressed with the win, Turki Alalshikh included.

Jake Paul wobbled the BKFC star many times, finally walking him down and majorly tagging him in R6. Hedging over 40 lbs after rehydrating, many slammed ‘The Problem Child’ yet again for nitpicking a smaller opponent. Mortal rivals Conor McGregor and KSI issued prime disses. Now, Turki Alalshikh doubled down on this not being the real sweet science.

this is not boxing …

Chairman of General Entertainment Authority, His Excellency Alalshikh, leads the charge on the extended Riyadh Season Boxing. “Knockout Chaos” and “Day of Reckoning” are just some blockbuster cards he and the Saudi GEA have produced.

Afterward, a fan resounded claims by trying to clown Alalshikh, insinuating that he was hypocritical. The fan cited Alalshikh paying ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou — $30 million to face off against two of the best heavyweight boxers: Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Ngannou didn’t exactly conform to earning $10 million in his pro boxing debut for Riyadh Boxing Season. He reportedly earned $20M against AJ despite a knockout skid. The man writing the checks says otherwise.

Turki Alalshikh also claimed that, unlike Paul and Perry, Nagnnou was a real fighter. He had similarly billed them as clown fights during his convo with DAZN Boxing in March. While his umbrage on crossover and influencer boxing continues, there’s no denying Paul’s success for now.

Jake Paul awaits ‘biggest combat sports event’

Paul (now 10-1, 7 KOs) dominantly performed against Mike Perry. His DAZN Pay-per-view 8-round cruiserweight hashout was the best one yet. Nevertheless, ‘The Problem Child’ is far from done. It’s from one Mike to the other. BKFC brand face Perry is one thing, but consensus heavyweight icon Mike Tyson is another. The duo will meet next at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, in November.

Even now, perhaps nothing underscores the age difference between 58-year-old Tyson and Jake Paul, thrice lower than that. ‘Problem Child’ wasn’t even conceived as a child back when ‘Iron’ Mike started his first reign.

With the slow pace, ulcer flare-ups, and everything else aside, Tyson requested that the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations officially approve it as a pro-sanction. Paul respects that, and he’s ready for the challenge.

Next up is me vs Mike Tyson and Serrano vs Taylor on Netflix, November 15th. It will be the biggest combat sport event of the 21st century…

Netflix has exclusive streaming rights for Paul vs. Tyson, which should ensure a large worldwide audience. After Tyson suffered a medical emergency in May, the fight took a new date from July 20. Apart from his MMA regular, Tyson proves to be a different beast. Even if he did have to scale back his training, 50% of a beast is still one.

That mostly translates to Jake Paul or whoever fights him in crossover boxing. Mike Perry, in this case. His Excellency reserves judgment to the influencer boxers, not those streaming it. The DAZN Select Subscription and Pay-per-view streaming platform is all the rage. With Showtime Boxing fumbling the grind, it is slowly churning on to be the premier Live & On-Demand Sports Streaming platform.

Turki Alalshikh is all here for it. Shortly before the start of Paul vs. Perry: DAZN Pay-per-view card, His Excellency sent out a tweet commending the quality streaming content. Queensberry Promotions currently has a contractual agreement with TNT Sports (Boxing on TNT Sports (@boxingontnt). Their deal is to go through till up to 2025 currently.

Reportedly, DAZN is close to snagging a broadcast and streaming deal with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions online. If so, it makes it an even bigger name. With Alalshikh hoping to form a global multi-weight class boxing league, he and the Saudi GEA might be looking forward to such a broadcast and streaming partner for the grind. Only time will tell.
