Anthony Edwards’ has picked his GOAT, and it’s no surprise given he has stuck with the same answer for years. And he now as a young prospect, who himself is more than fortunate to play not just in the league but against his idol, Ant is living his dreams.

Anthony Edwards is just 22 years old and is quickly coming up the ranks in the NBA. And the player who he has followed for a while is none other than Kevin Durant.

Anthony Edwards in a one-on-one interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews while playing a game of Jenga, said,

Man, this gon’ sound crazy but, Kevin Durant. I’ve always just been a fan watching him play as a kid. He’s the first seven-footer I’ve seen putting the ball on the floor and scoring off the dribble so I’ve always been a big fan.

Kevin Durant, who plays for the Phoenix Suns, stands at 6’11 and has been a force to reckon with for quite a while. From swift ball handling to paint shots, the player has been one of the best in the game. And Anthony Edwards, who has been idolizing the player since his early days, knows about it. From idols to rivals now on the court, Ant has been living the dreams of every player.

Both have faced each other four times, with Kevin Durant beating Antman in all four games, which considering he is paying against his goat, isn’t the best record for his career. Nevertheless, their next meeting would be yet another fruitful moment for the youngster, as he hopes to get the better of him this time around. Moreover, after that slam from Adidas on KD a few months ago, things should always be heated.

“Ant-Man” or simply just “Ant”, his presence in the Minnesota Timberwolves has been vital in both offensive and defensive aspects of the game. Averaging 26.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and a Field Goal percentage of 46.8 in this 2024 season, there is no denying his presence has been felt hugely as the Timberwolves sit right at the top of the Western Conference table.
