Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou will take on the PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira in a much-anticipated bout. The fight is slated to take place on October 19 inside the Mayadeen in Riyadh. The battle between two of the hardest hitters in the world of combat sports has attracted various attention from fans. Ahead of the fight, Joe Rogan has shared his views about the much-anticipated clash.ย 

Renan Ferreira, in his last fight, defeated Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader via stoppage earlier this year. The Brazilian champion made quick work of Bader in the bout. Rogan recently viewed the knockout along with others in his latest podcast. After watching it, Rogan showed concern for Ngannou who making his MMA return after two years.ย

Ahead of the fight, both fighters have already participated in trash-talking which caught the attention of fight fans for all the wrong reasons. With much hype surrounding the bout, the โ€˜Predatorโ€™ is ready to remind fight fans what heโ€™s capable of.ย

Despite the losses, Ngannou made humongous money through his boxing endeavors and PFL is confident to replicate that. UFC CEO Dana White recently got to know about PFLโ€™s investment in the Ngannou vs. Ferreira fight. White couldnโ€™t believe it and made a rather sarcastic comment on the PFL owners. However, the tensions between Ngannou and UFC continue to remain.

Since his departure from the UFC, the relationship between Francis Ngannou and the promotion started to crumble. UFC was recently accused of deliberately wiping Ngannouโ€™s history from the promotion. On top of that, Dana White has frequently based Ngannou and blamed him for running away from the current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Ngannou recently hit back at White, claiming that the UFC CEO was controlling the narrative against him. As Ngannou prepares for his next fight, Jon Jones will now scheduled to fight Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. Ngannouโ€™s coach, Erick Nicksick recently did an interview with ESPN MMA and compared both the fights.ย 

I feel like Renan Ferreira now is a bigger win than if you were to fight a Stipe again, where theyโ€™re at in their careersโ€ฆThe name Stipe on your resume is huge but where theyโ€™re at in the quality of the wins right now in their career, I think Renan is a bigger win right now than what Stipe would be.

ย Jones has already announced his retirement from the sport after the Miocic fight without challenging the hungry Tom Aspinall. This has further started a debate about his legacy among fight fans.
