Nate Diaz returns to action soon. It is always an interesting notion when veteran MMA entities engage in crossover boxing. A recent example; ex-heavyweight UFC champ Francis Ngannou participated in his second pro boxing venture against Anthony Joshua last month. Similarly, now the inaugural ‘BMF’ contender and pioneer gangster of UFC will do so too.

Diaz faces his former UFC rival Jorge Masvidal in the squared ring. The duo will rehash in a 10-round exhibition bout at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.  Fanmio PPV is responsible for overseeing it. Ahead of this, the former UFC star attended Tuesday’s Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Clippers game at Golden 1 Center. Diaz made sure he had coach Mike Brown amazed.

I’m a big UFC guy, Man, I heard Nate Diaz is in the house…Respect, Nate…You, your brother, what you guys (have) done – I get excited when I watch UFC. I have me a few drinks, and I get into it and think I’m out there…I could never do what they do, but man, (I’m) a huge, huge fan of the Diaz brothers, especially knowing Nate is in the house…show him love because he’s one of the all-time greatest – a lot of fun to watch.

Following his exit in 2022, Nate Diaz is 0-1. He last fought against influencer-boxer Jake Paul. He and Masvidal faced each other in Nov. 2019, in the inaugural UFC BMF championship. Masvidal would also go to be 0-4 after his win against him, and subsequently retire at UFC 287. Hence their return holds much anticipation.

‘Gamebred’ has also been dousing warring words to Diaz, despite deep mutual reverence. Their next bout will stream on Fanmio pay-per-view at a $79.99 price point. In the lead-up, these little appearances and snippets have been hyping up fight fans. Consequently, this isn’t Diaz’s first NBA cameo.

Nate Diaz remains a big name within the combat sports industry. Diaz, 21-13 MMA, 16-11 UFC, completed his contractual agreement in September 2022 when he won against Tony Ferguson. Since then, holding free agency, he has ventured into boxing. He has also expressed interest in returning at UFC 306, which will be the Noche UFC event.

Even away from the scope of fighting, he remains a big and recognizable enough personality. Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Clippers wasn’t the only affair he was present at. Diaz also attended the Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat NBA at the Footprint Center, Arizona. With the jumbotron and media panel camera panning across, Diaz was seen seated and received a lot of cheers.

Fans, and even non-fight fans and NBA personalities lauded his presence as the “realest in every scenario.” A lot of them commented on him bringing a whole different kind of energy to the crowd with merely his presence. Check no further than how a few NBA players reacted to his loss against Jake Paul:

He has a big following even outside of MMA. Diaz maintains an overwhelmingly fiery presence wherever he goes, even now.
