Things have not been turning out the right way for the Golden State Warriors this season. Many of their stars like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have been dealing with multiple injuries throughout different parts of the season. Given that, the Warriors lost their game against the Boston Celtics on Monday night by 85-125.
This defeat was their second-largest of the 2024-25 NBA season. Stephen Curry spoke about the team’s scoring problems, asserting that these difficulties have been a major factor in the team’s decline in the rankings. In the long run, Curry thinks the Warriors’ offensive problems will cause the team’s enthusiasm and competitiveness to be disrupted.

The attacking output of the San Francisco team has significantly decreased. Their scoring has fallen to less than 106 points per game. This has resulted in a 9-18 record after they began the season with a 12-3 record and an average of 118.3 points per game. At 111.1, the team’s offensive rating (ORTG) is now in the bottom ten.
Against the Celtics, only two Warriors players scored in double digits. This showcases their poor offensive performance against the 2024 NBA champions. Curry scored a mere 18 points, followed by Moses Moody’s 13 points. The Warriors will have to do much more than this if they wish to qualify for the NBA Playoffs this season.
Stephen Curry is NOT ‘okay’ with being on an average team
The Warriors star’s comments regarding possible roster upgrades garnered media attention. Stephen Curry first underlined that the front staff should refrain from making rash transactions that would endanger the team’s future. In addition, Curry also stressed that he is ‘not okay’ with being on an average team in the later stages of his career.

Aside from this, Curry emphasized the significance of striking a balance between maintaining the franchise’s long-term stability. Also, bolstering the current roster. The Warriors aren’t aggressively trying to alter their roster at the moment. It seems that the front office is determined to continue believing in the same key group.
