But it also showcased the potent partnership that grew between Stephen Curry and LeBron James. The duo put in some of the most memorable performances of the competition. As a result, they have gotten praise from fans and even veterans of the game, most notably Gilbert Arenas.
In a recent episode of the Gil’s Arena Show, the basketball veteran shared his take on the face of the NBA. Arenas stated that effective from next season, both Curry and James would become the collective face of the league. According to him, the major reason is that they are married with kids, which gives them higher morality.

Gilbert Arenas said
The way Gilbert Arenas sees it, the face of the NBA should be represented by players without issues. He then remarked that NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes is a good example of this, as he’s a family man too. Arenas also pointed out that LeBron James having a family makes him very cautious about getting into problems. Likewise, Curry wouldn’t want any scandal to mar his own reputation as well.
The 42-year-old further clarified that being married is not a requirement for becoming the face of the league. However, he asserted that players with family members to cater for fit the mold better than bachelors. Both NBA stars helped the USA to a gold medal win, particularly Stephen Curry who bossed France in the final.

Following their Paris Olympics victory, ‘King James’ opened up about playing together with Stephen Curry as teammates. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar marveled at his talent and opined that the Warriors star makes the game much easier.
