Star Wars Outlaws is an upcoming open-world action-adventure video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.
It is the first open-world game in the Star Wars franchise, and now the company has announced the platforms on which the open-world action-adventure game will be released, and it looks like Ubisoft will skip Steam for their upcoming game releases.
This isn’t the only game as the upcoming Assaisn Creed’s Mirange will join the skip list for the new releases. That’s not all; the game will also not be coming to the Epic Games.
Yes, you heard it right! On the studio’s website, the platforms on which the open-world game will be available are listed, and there’s mention of either Steam or the Epic Games Store.

In the past, the company had expressed disappointment with the video game digital distribution service, i.e., Steam, citing that the 30 percent cut of their game is unfair.
With that being said, Ubisoft did make an effort to try to release its games on Steam as the studio released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the distribution service last year, although after two years after the game was released. Thus the company would rather prefer to release its games on its platform; that way, it can take the whole cut.

Previously, the company had exclusive deals with Epic Games, ditching Steam for the Epic Games Store. Now, the game isn’t coming to the platforms!
Although in due time, both the games Outlaws & Avtar: Frontiers of Pandora may come to other platforms as well. For PC players, the only option that remains is to pre-order or buy the Star Wars Outlaws from Ubisoft’s Connect.
What’s more interesting is that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which Massive Entertainment also develops, will be released on Amazon Luna &, i.e., the Amazon Game streaming service, and there’s no wording on why StarWars Outlaws is not coming to Amazon Luna as well.
As for the StarWars Launch timeline, the company, in an official press release, said that the open-world action-adventure game will release in 2024. The Star Wars OutLaws will be available only on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series Y & S, and on the company’s own Ubisoft Connect.
