Lebron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a close victory over the Utah Jazz at the Delta center, Salt Lake City, recently. During the post game interview with Mike Trudell for the Spectrum Sportsnet, James spoke about his performance during the win which ended 104-105.ย

During the interview, LeBron James reacted to his performance acknowledging that he had a horrible shooting performance. But despite his terrible shooting form, he was still able to impact the game by assisting his teammates by making plays.

I just take what the defense gives me. Shot horribly from the perimeter tonight, but I had some great looks and they all felt goodโ€ฆ one thing about me, if the shot is not going, I can still make plays and still make an impact on the game. I was able to do that, my teammates helped me out with a poor shooting night but I tried to make plays for them throughout the game.

LeBron James said

The Lakersโ€™ win over the Jazz was a much-needed boost for the team that has been struggling with inconsistency. LeBron Jamesโ€™ leadership and playmaking abilities were on full display during the game, and he is still proving that he is still one of the most dominant players in the league, as he ended the night with 27 points, 14 assist and five rebounds.ย

Despite his shooting troubles, where he missed 16 field goals and all of his three points out of nine attempts (0-9), James kept on finding ways to help his team win, and thatโ€™s all that matters.

As he continues to work through his shooting slump, the Lakers will rely on his playmaking and leadership abilities to carry them through tough times. Also, Jamesโ€™ ability to adapt and contribute to his team will be key for JJ Redick and the Lakers this season.ย Furthermore, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to get back to winning ways after their previous loss on Sunday night.

Former NBA star and ESPN Analyst, Kendrick Perkins recently sparked a conversation about Jamesโ€™ future in the NBA. This came following the Lakers 101-93 loss to the number one seed of the Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

Itโ€™s looking like this just might be Bronโ€™s last season.

With little margin for error, any prolonged slippage from James would also spell doom for the Lakers. But thankfully King James and Anthony Davis have been relatively healthy this season and any long-term absence for either star could prove costly to their postseason chances.
