Things went awry on the sets of Warnie, a series on the Late Shane Warne, while shooting a sex scene, forcing the main leads to be hospitalized. Actors Alex Williams and Marny Kennedy were rushed to the hospital after they completely misjudged their moves while shooting the scene.
‘Warnie’ is a channel nine production that follows the life of the legendary leg-spinner, Late Shane Warne who passed away due to a suspected heart attack during his holiday in Thailand, in March last year.
Warnie uncovers the story of how a boy from Black Rock made it to the world of cricket while living his life in the way he wanted. With controversies, glamour and major popularity, Warne’s life was a spectacle in itself and the series aims to present it to the world in its truest form. The controversial two-part drama series premieres on the 25th of June, Sunday and 26th of June, Monday on Channel 9 and 9Now, in Australia.
What exactly happened on the sets of Warnie?
Alex Williams, 32, playing Shane Warne and Marny Kennedy, 29, playing the role of his ex-wife Simone, intended to dive into a bed, heading into a room when they missed it completely and went on to ram into the floor instead. Both actors have sustained major injuries with Marny breaking her wrist while Alex cracking open the back of his head.
According to reports from The Daily Star, actress Marny Kennedy said, “We were going down a corridor and we were meant to push into the bedroom and land on the bed. But we both completely missed the bed. We ended up sitting in the emergency room together he with a bandage around his head and me with my wrist strapped.”
The actors dealt with it well, saw the funny side to it and took a selfie in the emergency room! They got personalized mugs made with that selfie for the crew to mark their last day of the shoot.
