Seth Rollins is all set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship for the first time at a premium live event. The event happens to be of particular significance as WWE is going to London for Money in the Bank this year. His opponent for the match is none other than his former rival, Finn Balor.

The Visionary won the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions. He defeated AJ Styles in the final of the tournament to become the new champion. Rollins promised his fans that he would be a fighting champion and would defend his title regularly. His first title defense came against Damian Priest on a recent episode of Raw.

In the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, the 37-year-old was confronted by Finn Balor and he challenged for the title right away. Balor blamed Rollins for taking away his momentum and a year from his career. The Judgment Day member referred to the injury that he suffered in the inaugural Universal Championship match. He also promised the champion that this time, he would do all those things to Rollins.

In a heated exchange of words, Seth Rollins accepted the challenge for a match at Money in the Bank in London. However, he roasted the former NXT champion, saying that the current version of Finn Balor does not stand a chance against him. The Visionary said that Balor needs to bring the 2016 SummerSlam version of himself, who defeated Rollins with a broken arm.

The champion then left the ring after a face-off as the match was made official. The two former Universal Champions also clashed recently, in the semifinals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Seth Rollins was victorious in that match, as he went on to win the tournament.

Last week on NXT, the former NXT champion Bron Breakker challenged Seth Rollins to a match. He mentioned the fact that Rollins knows everything about NXT because he was the first champion in the brand’s history. The 25-year-old highlighted that he happens to be the most dominant champion. So Breakker feels that Rollins should come down to NXT and face him in a match.

The World Heavyweight Champion has not responded to the challenge, even after a week. Currently, he is in a feud with Finn Balor on the main roster, as the two are set to have a match at Money in the Bank. However, the reports state that The Visionary might make a return to NXT on the next episode.

He is expected to confront Bron Breakker about his challenge. This will be Rollins’ first appearance on the Yellow Brand after several years. After having a spectacular run on NXT, Rollins made his debut on the main roster and has been one of the top stars of the company ever since.
