Rollins said, “We’ve got so many people on our roster and so many people make sacrifices year in and year out to be in the best position they can be in when it comes time for WrestleMania, and you want to reward that.”
On the other hand, he also stated the probable need for celebrities at Mania for the company’s sake. It drives in more fans as the celebrities appear at the event, while also giving them a platform to showcase their talent, which they don’t present regularly. The match started setting up when Bron challenged Seth for a shot at his title when he called him out during the June 6 episode of NXT. The challenge was accepted by Rollins the next week, as he appeared on the TitanTron and made their match official for NXT Gold Rush. This whole scenario came as a surprise to the fans.
If Seth retains his title against Breakker, he has opponents lined up as he takes on The Judgment Day. He will face Finn Balor at the Money in the Bank event in London. And if he succeeds, then Damian Priest on a SmackDown special episode at Madison Square Garden on July 7.
