Attorneys for Sean โ€˜Diddyโ€™ Combs revealed that adjusting to life behind bars after his arrest on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution has been a challenging experience. However, one of the toughest adjustments for the music mogul seems to be getting used to the jail food.

โ€œI think the foodโ€™s probably the roughest part of it,โ€ Combsโ€™ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, shared with reporters outside a federal courthouse in Manhattan following a status conference, as reported by People.

During a court appearance on Thursday, October 10, it was announced that Combs’ trial date for these charges is set for May 5, 2025. Currently, Combs is being held at Brooklyn’s notorious Metropolitan Detention Center, where his day starts at 6:00 a.m. with a breakfast of cereal, fruit, and a breakfast cake. Lunch is usually served at 11 a.m. on weekdays, followed by dinner after the 4 p.m. headcount.

The menu at the detention center includes items like hamburgers, baked fish, beef tacos, scrambled eggs, and biscuits on weekends. For dinner, options range from chicken fajitas to pasta and roast beef, with vegetarian choices like tofu, baked beans, and lentils also available.

Despite his legal troubles, during his recent court appearance, Diddy appeared more lively than before. He sported a tan prison garb, hugged his lawyer, and even offered a brief smile to his mother and children who came to support him in court.

Combs has been in jail for nearly a month now, as his bail requests were denied by two judges due to concerns about witness tampering. His legal team has filed another appeal in hopes of securing his release pending trial.

The music mogul’s legal woes started with an assault allegation from his former girlfriend and protรฉgรฉ, Cassie Ventura, last year. Since then, he has been hit with multiple sexual assault and abuse lawsuits from various women. While he admitted guilt to charges related to Ventura after CCTV footage supported her claims, Diddy has vehemently denied all accusations against him, including the three charges brought against him in the recent indictment.

During the court proceedings, prosecutor Emily Johnson mentioned that the prosecution is seeking more evidence, hinting at potential additional charges for Combs in the future. She also stated that the trial is expected to last at least three weeks, while Combsโ€™ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, noted that the defense would need about a week to present their side of the story.
