In a remarkable career spanning nearly four decades, Salman Khan has solidified his status as one of the most beloved superstars in the world of Hindi cinema. While fans eagerly await Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of the lead character in Dhoom 4, there was a time when the seasoned superstar was playfully approached about taking on the lead role in the upcoming YRF production. With his trademark wit and charm, Salman Khan responded to a fan’s request for him to star in Dhoom 4 by cheekily suggesting that the other Dhoom villains wouldn’t stand a chance at catching him.

During a memorable appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, a devoted female fan expressed her desire to see Salman Khan take on the lead role in Dhoom 4. Salman graciously entertained the idea, expressing his willingness to star in the esteemed Yash Raj Films’ production. In a light-hearted manner, the superstar even playfully narrated a hypothetical script for Dhoom 4.

In his amusing rendition, Salman Khan humorously envisioned a new villain being introduced into the Dhoom franchise, with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra hilariously failing to apprehend him. “They enlist all the previous Dhoom villains – John (Abraham), Hrithik (Roshan), Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan), and even Aamir (Khan) – to capture me, but they all end up looking like fools as I outsmart them and make my escape,” quipped the charismatic Bajrangi Bhaijaan star.

While the news of Ranbir Kapoor’s casting as the antagonist in Dhoom 4 has been met with excitement, it’s worth noting that the original star cast of Dhoom will not be returning for this installment. Producer Aditya Chopra believes that Ranbir Kapoor is the perfect choice to carry on the legacy of the Dhoom series.

As preparations for Dhoom 4 continue, no director has been officially appointed yet. The YRF aims to finalize the director by mid-2025, with production expected to commence by the end of 2025 or early 2026. The film will see two young heroes stepping into the roles of the dynamic cop duo in this high-octane adventure.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Dhoom originated with a star-studded cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, and Rimi Sen, with John Abraham portraying the formidable villain in the 2004 original. Subsequent installments introduced new characters and actors, with Dhoom 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan as the antagonist and Dhoom 3 showcasing Aamir Khan in a dual role.
