UFC 302 features a spectacular matchup between Sean Strickland and Paulo Costa. The battle between them has kept the MMA community on their toes. Many experts have given their takes on the fight. Now, UFC lightweight Renato Moicano spoke in length about the fight.
Renato Moicano recently uploaded a prediction video on his YouTube channel. The Brazilian lightweight broke down the entire main card. Moicano highlighted Costaโs past cardio issues and gave the edge to the American fighter. As such, he felt the five-round stipulation hurt Costaโs chances.
I think even though Paulo Costa has more punching power, and he is aggressive especially in a five round fight, Sean Strickland will walk forward absorb the strike, keep putting pressure, and eventually Paulo Costa is going to get tired.

Renato Moicano said he does not see Paulo Costa shooting for takedowns. Instead, he predicted that the Brazilian middleweight would try to outstrike Strickland. However, given Stricklandโs skills and experience, Moicano predicts that the former champion will win by decision. Moicano termed this fight as pressure vs. power.
Ultimately, Moicanoโs judgment was that Paulo Costa has to come through in the first or second round and knock Strickland out. If not, the former middleweight champion would outbox Costa and tire him out to win the fight. Israel Adesanya gave a similar prediction as well. Nevertheless, Moicano has risen in popularity due to his recent interesting takes.
Renato Moicano does not want Michael Chandler to win against Conor McGregor
Renato Moicano does not seem to like Michael Chandler. The UFC lightweight recently made some interesting comments on the upcoming fight between Chandler and Conor McGregor this June. Moicano even went on to brand โIronโ as fake.
Moicano was present at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas along with other reporters at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 7. After his victory, he sat down at the post-fight press conference and spoke about the UFC 303 main event.
I pray to MMA gods that Conor McGregor wins that fight because f**k Michael Chandler. I don’t wanna talk too much sh*t, but I think Michael Chandler is fake. I don’t know why, I look at him and he seems fake to me. But I don’t know him, just my impression maybe I’m wrong. Maybe one day I can beat the sh*t out of him, and see if he’s true.
