In a recent heart-to-heart chat on Unfiltered by Samdish, Rajkummar Rao was asked about his satisfaction in life. Reflecting on his journey, the actor admitted to feeling gratified but also confessed to a lingering hunger for more. The host probed further, suggesting that with a certain level of wealth in the bank, one might feel secure. To this, Rajkummar Rao quickly debunked any misconceptions.
With a candid tone, he shared, “Honestly, I don’t have as much money as people might think. It’s not like I have a whopping Rs. 100 crore in my account. I have ongoing EMIs to pay, especially for the house I recently bought. So, it’s not a dire situation, but it’s also not like I can casually stroll into a showroom and splurge on a Rs. 6 crore car.”
When questioned about purchasing a car worth Rs. 50 lakh, the actor admitted that it would warrant a discussion and some level of stress. However, he felt more comfortable considering a more modestly priced car at Rs. 20 lakh.
Acknowledging the impact of sudden wealth on an actor’s psyche, Rajkummar also expressed his belief that an overnight windfall could potentially disrupt one’s mindset.
