Prince Harry couldn’t contain his pride when talking about his precious children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. He couldn’t help but marvel at how their mother, Meghan Markle’s, stunning features, especially her luscious brunette hair, had been passed down to them. It was at the recent WellChild Awards where the Duke of Sussex couldn’t help but gush about his little ones, as recounted by Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon, the chief editor of Hello Magazine.

“From the moment he walked into the room, his energy was infectious,” Sophie wrote. “There was no pretense as he excitedly shared stories about his beloved children before the event.” The proud father fondly shared a story about his children’s hair, mentioning, “Archie and Lili have been blessed with their mother’s thick hair,” he humbly admitted. He even joked about how soon his daughter might be able to sit on her long locks. This wasn’t the first time Prince Harry had spoken about the apple of his eye, Archie, and Lilibet.

On a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harry reminisced about his late mother, Princess Diana, and the strong Spencer gene. “The Spencer gene is undeniably powerful,” he remarked. Initially, he thought his own “ginger genes” wouldn’t stand a chance against his wife’s, but he was pleasantly surprised.

While Prince Harry was away attending the WellChild Awards in the UK and visiting Africa, Meghan held down the fort back at home. According to Vokes-Dudgeon, she not only had her hands full with their two little ones but also their trio of mischievous dogs, who apparently weren’t quite house-trained. Let’s not forget the chickens!

The annual WellChild event holds a special place in Prince Harry’s heart, as he has been a devoted patron since 2007. During his heartfelt speech at this year’s event, he made sure to mention Archie and Lilibet, an organization that shines a light on the courage of seriously ill children and the unwavering dedication of their caregivers, from parents to nurses.

“As a parent myself, I understand the rollercoaster of emotions that come with parenting,” Harry shared. Learning about the tireless care provided to these children around the clock left him in awe. The bond he felt towards the foundation only deepened after becoming a father himself, as mentioned by the journalist.
