Los Angeles has always been divided between the Clippers and the Lakers with the former always being shadowed by the latter. The Clippers recently upped their game with their $2 billion facility, but it just might not be enough. In a recent interview, Ice Cube‘s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., ridiculed the Clippers’ arena, comparing it to the Lakers’ home base.
O’Shea Jackson Jr recently appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show and once again proved it right. The host jabbed him by calling the Intuit Dome ‘a million times cooler’ than the Lakers’ home base. The rapper confidently labeled it garbage, remarking that he has experienced far worse dismissals before. He then proceeded to personify it as an uninteresting person.
The Clippers have always been compared and contrasted to the Lakers, with the latter team always having one up on the former. Till 2024, the Lakers franchise won 17 championships. However, the Clippers’ stats haven’t been as illustrious. As for the arena, the franchise has also been lampooned for its empty stands.
O’Shea Jackson Jr on Intuit Dome: It’s a pretty girl with no substance to her. She’s not really talking about anything interesting. You know that she doesn’t have any aspirations for marriage cause getting a ring in there is gotta be crazy.#HelwaniShow pic.twitter.com/fEPxJ5yA6e

O’Shea Jackson Jr was also one of those who casually roasted the Clippers arena. In a previous message uplifting his beloved franchise, the rapper/actor took a shot at the Intuit stadium calling out its capacity. He highlighted the amusing marketing strategy with the name ‘Intuit’ that could not shelter anybody. Hence, Jackson Jr’s response wasn’t all surprising for the fans.
LeBron James is not the first player O’Shea Jackson Jr thinks of with the Lakers
LeBron James is one of the most celebrated and illustrious NBA athletes of all time, with no less critics nonetheless. Time and again, he has proved his worthiness in the game as well as his team. The doubters still rise once in a blue moon calling the NBA MVP less competent than the players before him.
Ice Cube‘s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr, joined the rally in a recent post on X. The ultimate Lakers fan reposted a fan’s tweet asking the first player that came to mind after looking at the franchise logo. Provided, the name does not start and end with LeBron James.
Lmao he was never gonna be the first I thought of https://t.co/e4RjlWUiDb

The rapper wrote that Bron was ‘never’ the first in his list in the franchise. Despite the four-time MVP’s contributions, some seem to think of the athlete as less than his former peers. Many people constantly compare him to Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, among others.
