The AFC Divisional fixture between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills is undoubtedly the most anticipated matchup among all the games during the upcoming weekend. Both MVP front runners, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, will go head to head for a place in the AFC Championship game.
Basketball legend LeBron James is eagerly waiting for the tie, but at the same time, he believes defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the best of the bunch.
James has been a long-time admirer of the Chiefs under center. From his point of view, the 29-year-old Texas Tech graduate revolutionized the quarterback position.
James highlighted there’s not a single pass that Mahomes can’t make—whether it’s a sidearm toss or across-the-body dot to a receiver—he can do anything with the ball in his hands.

LeBron James sees similarities between his and Patrick Mahomes’ career
James is arguably one of the best basketball players—some would say the Los Angeles Lakers star is the best—ever to grace the NBA court. He is a 4x NBA Champion and the Most Valuable Player, with the same number of times along with 20 NBA All-Star call-ups.
Even though James individually tasted success during his first decade of being a professional athlete, the NBA title arrived when he moved away from the Cleveland Cavaliers, who drafted him. He won his first NBA championship with the Miami Heat in 2012.
While comparing his career with Mahomes’, the 40-year-old pointed out the shot caller had a better start to his career.
Mahomes has played in every single AFC Championship game since 2019. He won each time barring one loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021. More importantly, he lifted the Lombardi Trophy three times in five years—two in consecutive years: 2022 and 2023.
The Chiefs stand at the cusp of history. No team in the NFL era has ever won three back-to-back Super Bowls. The Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Pittsburgh Steelers came close during their dynasty eras, but the Chiefs can surpass all of them by securing the Super Bowl in New Orleans later this year.
Before that, they need to defeat the Houston Texans in the divisional round, and one can be sure LeBron James will be hooked to his TV set during the game.
