The Chiefs QB was racking up significant yards through the air. That is despite not having a true No. 1 wide receiver at his disposal. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer watching this took to his official X account to give his flowers to reigning Super Bowl MVP.

The NBA star knows all too well that as long as Patrick Mahomes is on the field, the Kansas City Chiefs will always be in the hunt. This is despite the star QB not having the best of seasons so far. Tonight, he was racking up the yards and slowly wearing out the tough New Orleans Saints defense.
Many analysts and fans have said in the past that Mahomes is the best player in football. The best player usually makes his teammates look better than what they are. Several offensive players from the Chiefs’ past have gone on to struggle elsewhere.
LeBron James is one of the most intelligent basketball players in the world. He knows all too well how to offset an opposition if the team has a certain deficit. In the Monday Night Football game, he and football fans noticed how Patrick Mahomes was playing smart football.
By spreading the ball to multiple receivers, running backs and tight ends, the Kansas City Chiefs are playing it smart. Mahomes racking up the yards on short and intermediate throws meant less time of possession for the New Orleans Saints offense.
The perfect ploy as it will help some of their receivers build confidence. With Rashee Rice expected to miss the season, this approach of football is the only way they can march their way to another deep playoff run.
