Callouts and trash talk are as common as jabs and kicks in the world of mixed martial arts. There is also a chance that some might reject such callouts. However, when Renato Moicano recently threw down the gauntlet to Paddy Pimblett, the response from the Brit was swift and straightforward.

Pimblett declared that he would accept the challenge for a potential clash at UFC 304 in Manchester. The banter between the two lightweights has been simmering for a while. Moicano recently said he would make easy money off Pimblett in Manchester. Pimblett responded to this with a video of his own.

Let’s do it then. Send me the contract. I’ll sign it and have it back by tonight.

The fight has not been made official by the UFC at this time.  Nevertheless, the UFC Manchester PPV card could benefit from this fight. Only a handful of fighters, including Tom Aspinall, remain confirmed for UFC 304, but his opponent remains unnamed. So, a fight between these two in Manchester makes sense. As such, ‘The Baddy’ would return to fight on his home soil for the first time since 2022.

Moicano recently scored an impressive come-from-behind win against Jalin Turner at UFC 300. He wanted to show that he was better than Pimblett, who remains very vocal about his skills. Pimblett is coming off a win over Tony Ferguson. MMA enthusiasts can only hope that this potential matchup becomes a reality, offering a chance to witness two rising stars collide in a battle for lightweight supremacy.

Paddy Pimblett has not faced any dangerous opponents in the UFC. Even career-best win so far against veteran Tony Ferguson did not impress the fans. Ferguson is no longer the beast that ruled the lightweight division from five or six years ago. As such, fans have wanted Pimblett to face someone in their prime.

An opponent like Renato Moicano or Bobby Green remains ideal for Pimblett. Even the Brit felt prepared to face Moicano or accept the callout from Green. Pimblett expected to return by summer and chose Moicano as his opponent in a hilarious fashion.

That is who I want next. Renato Moicano — ‘Money’ Moicano — you owe me money, lad. I’m coming for you, little sausage.

Paddy Pimblett welcomed the challenge from the Brazilian contender in the summer of this year. ‘The Baddy’ stated that he would have fought before the summer, but his wife had to give birth. After taking some time off with his twin daughters, Pimblett will likely return at UFC 304. However, it remains to be seen if the UFC books a dangerous fighter like Moicano to take on Pimblett.
