Initially, Strickland wasn’t ready to fight Costa due to his pay disputes with the UFC. However, later the fight was finalized. Since then both fighters have not lost a chance to mock each other on social media platforms. ‘Tarzan’ has already claimed that he is planning to destroy the Brazilian at UFC 302.

While talking about their training method, Strickland revealed how he motivates his teammates. According to the former champ, harsh words work the best for many fighters.

You gotta shame these f*****. You tell a man you got to do a round or you tell a man he’s being a b*****. Big difference.

Strickland is a big believer in utilizing sparring in his training camps. The fighter has done most of his big fights including his title bout against Israel Adesanya. Talking about title fights, that must be the biggest priority for Strickland in the near future.
