Gable Steveson has become a big thing ever since winning an Olympic gold medal for wrestling at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Considering his physical ability and popularity, WWE signed a contract with him but has never utilized him since. But now, Steveson has teased his in-ring debut after his previous brief appearance on SmackDown last year alongside Kurt Angle.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Gable stated that he is currently training at the Performance Center in Orlando. He said that the training process takes longer than critics might realize. The 23-year-old stated that he has changed his diet and body appearance to do his best thing on TV. Gable stated he is putting in all his efforts and will be entering the squared circle soon.
Previously, Gable Steveson stated that he was learning psychology, timing, and other essential things about the ring. He said that his debut would be a sight that nobody wouldโve thought of. The Olympic gold medalist concluded by saying, โMy time is coming and the time is so near than lot of people could not even think of.โ
The 23-year-old has appeared in WWE on occasion but has not wrestled in a proper match. He signed with WWE in September 2021. However, the Olympic gold medalist had already made an appearance at SummerSlam that year. He was drafted to RAW in October 2021 but didnโt quite appear in WWEโs programming. His famous appearance at WrestleMania 38 last year excited the WWE Universe.
Gable Steveson hypes his WWE debut
Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson is currently signed with WWE but has not done much in it. Ever since signing Gable, WWE has not brought him on the main roster. He is still in his development stage and doing his training at the Performance Center. The 23-year-old made brief appearances on WWE television and visited their shows frequently.
As Steveson has been trained by The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, he pays a visit to him during WWE shows. The 23-year-old had a chat with KTSP, where he stated his current situation in WWE. Gable addressed attending the WWE Day 1 event and talking to Lesnar and Vince McMahon over his training at the center.
The Minnesota superstar stated that he notes down the advice he receives from Brock and hopes to use it during his run in the company. Gable concluded, saying, โI know what I am doing straight away.โ His WWE career would be huge, as he would merge his training efforts and earned advice into his performance.
