Charles Barkley speaking on a recent episode of “Inside the NBA on TNT” criticized the media’s attention on the struggling Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. Both the Lakers and the Warriors are fighting for a place in the postseason via the Promotion-Playoffs spot.

The debate about their chances all started when Barkley’s co-host Adam Lefkoe described the Lakers and Warriors as “a dangerous team that I can’t imagine anyone want to play.”

With a smirk on his face, the “Round Mound of Rebound” disagreed and said:

I’m so sick of these fools on other networks talking about the Lakers and the Warriors. We don’t brag about any other play-in teams do we? I understand Steph is great, LeBron is great. Ain’t nobody worried about the Lakers and the Warriors in the West.

Furthermore, co-host Kenny Smith then tried to use the NFL legend, Tom Brady, as an analogy to make a point about the impact of superstars LeBron James and Steph Curry. Barkley, not moved, responded:

These teams in the West are not worried about the Lakers and the Warriors. We’ve been kissing these guys’ ass so much. We don’t brag about the No. 9 team in the East. They ain’t got no chance. The Lakers and the Warriors, they’re on a little spell, they’re doing well, LeBron was amazing last night. But they’re not going to beat those teams up top.

However, the Lakers and Warriors shouldn’t be written off easily but considering the teams above them in the standings, it would be difficult to consider the Lakers, who have struggled for consistency, and Warriors as championship contenders despite the presence of their respective superstar players.

NBA legend has decided to pitch his tent with the popular social media platform, Instagram. This announcement was made while on set last night on TNT’s Inside the NBA.

Kenny Smith brought up the conversation when he asked Barkley if he had joined the social media giant. Barkley then confirmed with a smile. At that point, fellow hosts started dishing out advice to Chuck on how to navigate the platform and how to “slide into people’s DMs.”

Charles Barkley, who goes by the username, “charleswbarkley” on Instagram, showed his usual sarcastic side all through the banter from his fellow host and confirmed when he joined the platform. Welcome to Instagram Chuck!
