It looks as if things are not going according to the plan for the Minnesota Timberwolves as of now. The Timberwolves have endured a turbulent start to the season. Now, they lost 105-110 to the 3-12 Toronto Raptors, who won just their fourth game. The Timberwolves, who are now 8-7 on the season, will consider this a humiliating defeat.
They also seem to have chemistry issues as well, adding to the turmoil they have faced this season. Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle don’t seem to get along. When the score was 95-95, Gobert got annoyed with Randle for not passing the ball to him, thus committing a 3-second violation. This incident infuriated their superstar Anthony Edwards as well.
With 23 points (5-12 FG), 9 rebounds, and 2 steals, Randle played decently. Also, Gobert had a double-double with 13 points (4-5 FG), 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a steal. However, their on-court issues were highlighted by NBA fans all around the world. The Wolves will have to sort out this issue sooner rather than later.

For the Raptors, Chris Boucher came off the bench to score 22 points (7-13 FG) and dish up two blocks, while RJ Barrett led the Raptors to victory with 31 points (10-14 FG). He also had seven rebounds, and three steals as well. Scottie Barnes scored 17 points (5-11 FG) and dished out six assists after returning from an injury setback.
Julius Randle gives Rudy Gobert ‘a cold shoulder’ after missing ‘easy pass’
Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert have been making the headlines for their on-court interaction against the Raptors lately. Both were involved in various sequences of miscommunication and bad chemistry that led to the Timberwolves’ loss against the Toronto Raptors.
For instance, Randle decided to give the ball to Gobert for the game’s last possession. This was when Gobert slipped out for an uncontested dunk. Randle left the court with a clearly dissatisfied expression on his face, giving him ‘a cold shoulder.’ This was after Gobert mishandled the pass as time ran out. This showcases that huge issues persist for the Timberwolves on and off the court.

Randle has been a reliable player for the Timberwolves, averaging 21.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. Apart from this, Anthony Edwards has been leading the team on the court admirably. However, he has yet to to figure out how to align Randle and Gobert to form a formidable trio. The Timberwolves will have to find a quick solution to this matter before it gets ‘out of hand.’
