Bloodborne Fans Get a Yharnam Tourist Outfit for Astro Bot, But No Remake (Yet)
As seen recently at the State of Play event in May, Sony unveiled a new Astro Bot for the PlayStation 5, exhilarating gamers.
Now, as pre-order details emerge for Team Asobi’s upcoming title, fans are discovering a delightful surprise: a collection of cute clothes for the adorable Astro Bot character that features one outfit based on Bloodborne.
This news announcement has elicited various reactions from people through various social media platforms and gaming forums.
The PlayStation Blog has officially confirmed that this downloadable content would be available in Astro Bot Digital Deluxe Edition where Astro gets a ‘Yharnam Tourist’ outfit as seen below, parodying Bloodborne.
While some of the fans of the company and the product have easily shrugged off the news and consider it a mere publicity stunt by Sony, others believe that the news is more meaningful than it looks.
As an aside, let it be mentioned that all of the costumes, including the Bloodborne one, are going to be available as in-game purchases with the Deluxe Edition allowing players to obtain them at first.
But for people who like Bloodborne, this is a cool move using one finger and a small allusion to the game and its imagery.
Even Astro Bot has captured the hearts of people, there is no denying the fact that there is a strong one for an actual Bloodborne Part 2 or even a remake.
During a recent interview with IGN, Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki was asked about the stringer, and he answered that being a Bloodborne developer, FromSoftware doesn’t have a say on the stringer, as Sony is the owner of the IP.
Since Bloodborne has been loved by fans and met appreciation from the audience when it was released, there are even more voices of people who want to continue the game.
Even other FromSoftware-produced games including Demon’s Souls, and Dark Souls all have their respective remakes and port versions, but Bloodborne fans are still waiting and hoping.
Meanwhile, Astro Bot’s “Yharnam Tourist” costume brings a small slice of Bloodborne, and although fans may never get the oft-rumored remake, the Namco Tales Studio horror still lingers in the periphery.
