DeMar DeRozan recently made one biggest moves of his career by signing with the Sacramento Kings. DeRozan is an elite mid-range shooter and could help the Kings and their young squad in reaching the playoffs. He will bring in the veteran experience to the team. Recently, DeRozan appeared as a special guest on Jeff Teague‘s podcast ‘Club 520.’
On the podcast, DeMar DeRozan and Jeff Teague engaged in many great conversations. However, in the middle of a conversation, DeRozan accidentally took a shot at Jeff Teague on his own podcast. While discussing his desire not to be remembered solely as a one-time All-Star, DeRozan remarked with Teague, a one-time All-Star, sitting right there. The entire podcast crew erupted in laughter at DeRozan’s inadvertent dig towards Teague. Later on, DeRozan humorously attempted to assure Teague that he wasn’t intentionally taking a shot at him.
In 2013, I had torn my groin off the bone. It was like 6-7 games into the season, I just tried to turn the corner with the ball (and) slipped. Tore my whole groin. I was so worried… I think the year before I had made All-Star, so I’m like, ‘Man, f***.’ I didn’t want to be a one-time All-Star type of n****.”

Teague, a former NBA star who played for the Atlanta Hawks, made his first All-Star appearance in 2015. However, that would also be his last. The Atlanta Hawks, with a record of 43-11 going into the All-Star break, had four players representing them that season: Teague, Paul Millsap, Al Horford, and Kyle Korver. Teague had impressive averages of 15.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists, establishing himself as one of the team’s main stars.
Teague only managed to play in one All-Star game in 2015. But in 2021 Teague with the Milwaukee Bucks to win the championship. DeRozan is 35 years old now and is still going strong. Fans are excited to see DeRozan play for the Sacramento Kings in the coming season.

DeMar DeRozan was one of the main stars for the Toronto Raptors. DeRozan alongside Kyle Lowry made the Raptors serious title contenders. However, facing failures in the playoffs multiple times due to LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers, the Raptors management decided to trade DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs for Kawhi Leonard to improve their chances of success.
On his appearance on the Club 520 podcast, DeRozan talked about his time when he had just joined the Spurs. DeRozan stated that once he reached San Antonio, he talked to no one for two weeks. DeRozan completely isolated himself from everyone. The trade from the Raptors had a profound effect on DeRozan.
When I got traded, I didn’t talk to nobody for like two weeks. I wasn’t answering my phone. I was mad as hell. I was hurt, I ain’t going to lie. But Pop had called me out of the blue and just was like, ‘Look, we didn’t trade you, we traded for you.’ When I let that sink in, I was like, ‘Damn, he got a point.

DeRozan always felt a deep connection with Toronto and its fans. It was a shock to many to see the Raptors trading DeRozan. Eventually, the Raptors went on to win the NBA championship in 2019 by defeating the Golden State Warriors with Kawhi Leonard leading the squad.
