Sean O'Malley Breaks Down his Fight Against Merab at the Sphere and His BEEF with Conor McGregor!

The entire MMA community has seen UFC bantamweight champion Sean Oโ€™Malley and UFC superstar Conor McGregorโ€˜s back and forth online. Well, โ€˜Sugaโ€™ has recently expressed concern about Conor McGregorโ€™s current state. During a recent interview, Oโ€™Malley suggested he might attempt to trash McGregor anymore for a solid reason.

Sean Oโ€™Malley recently sat down for a conversation on the Full Send Podcast ahead of the historic UFC 306. During their discussion, one of the hosts brought up Oโ€™Malleyโ€™s situation with Conor McGregor. The co-host asked โ€˜Sugaโ€™ how he felt about McGregor just turning on him when all he did was give respect.ย ย

It’s past the point for me to want to talk shit…it’s more sad, it’s honestly f***ing sad to see someone like that… I don’t need to throw stabs at him anymore, he needs help, he needs f***ing help.

Oโ€™Malley once looked up to McGregor as a role model. However, the dynamic between them changed when โ€˜The Notoriousโ€™ mixed โ€˜Sugaโ€™ in with Ryan Garcia to thrash them online. This came after โ€˜King Ryโ€™ was caught taking ostarine, something Oโ€™Malley also tested positive for in the past.ย

Recently, Oโ€™Malley openly made a bold claim about the UFC double champion. He believes McGregorโ€™s frustration and bitterness are fueled by watching someone else take the spotlight he once owned. Though McGregor started the beef, he has not addressed โ€˜Sugaโ€™ in recent months.

Meanwhile, Oโ€™Malley used his possible future fight against Umar Nurmagomedov to taunt McGregor. He said McGregor could never beat Khabib Nurmagomedov, but he would defeat โ€˜The Young Eagleโ€™ to have a win over a Dagestani fighter finally. This would be Oโ€™Malleyโ€™s attempt to one-up the Irish superstar.

Recently, Sean Oโ€™Malley made waves by accusing Conor McGregor of being โ€œjealous and bitterโ€ due to his rising success. Oโ€™Malley mentioned that McGregor, who has been on a losing streak, exhibits jealousy toward him. This is particularly because Oโ€™Malley has defended his titleโ€”something McGregor never did during his time as champion.

Oโ€™Malley also expressed disappointment, hoping he never becomes as bitter as he perceives McGregor to be. John Kavanagh, McGregorโ€™s longtime coach, recently responded to the situation during an exclusive conversation with Lucky Block.

Instead of directly responding with hostility, Kavanagh downplayed the tensions. He implied that the media and fans might amplify the situation more than the fighters themselves.

I’ll be a hundred percent honest, I don’t follow the sport all that closely in terms of the drama stuff… As for these kinds of soundbites, and this fighter said that I don’t really click on any of those articles, so I don’t really know what Sean is saying, but I wish him all the best.

Despite the feud, Oโ€™Malley hopes McGregor can turn things around and get the help he needs. He has consistently emphasized that McGregor significantly influenced his career, even though they are now trading barbs publicly. Recent reports suggest the Irishman will return next year, whereas Oโ€™Malley will defend his title at UFC 306.
