Both US Presidential candidates going head-to-head on ABCโ€™s debate had the entire country watching. Citizens watched as both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris went round after round talking about some of the relevant problems the country needs fixing. But in those rounds, as both candidates were taking shots at each other, some weird claims were made that left an NBA star in splits.

One of those claims was made by the former president, where he referred to immigrants โ€˜eating petsโ€™. Watching this unfold, former NBA champion Kyle Kuzma took to his X account to opine on the same.

Theyโ€™re eating the pets (astonished emoticons followed by one showing laughter). itโ€™s like you canโ€™t make this up! What a November we will have lol.
Kyle Kuzma wrote on X

It seems he was just another citizen who was sent in splits listening to those claims from Donald Trump. He too was astonished that Donald Trump would claim something like this that ABC corrected as being untrue.

NBA stars generally have an aversion to the former president and his policies. They have always felt that he does not do anything to help improve the African American community. But even then, going into these elections, many were not sure whether to vote for Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.

Some have pledged their allegiance so far. But others who were still unsure might have been convinced after seeing such claims in a debate. Kuzma calling it out publicly gives an indication of how many feel after those claims were made.

NBA stars and Donald Trump do not see eye to eye

Kyle Kuzma might have shown the funnier side of this presidential race. But to many NBA stars, the writing for Trump was already on their wall. Donald Trump has always had a back-and-forth with LeBron James on several occasions. The 4-time champion and former teammate of Kuzmaโ€™s has not spoken up yet, but it might not be long before he does.

Then there is Charles Barkley, who has never stopped at letting his feelings against Trump be a secret. Time and again he has called out the former president. Both for his policies and decisions as well as for how he conducts himself in public.

Lastly, Stephen Curry officially rolled the dice when his recorded video was played at the Democratic National Convention. He and his head coach endorsing Kamala Harris was enough for basketball fans to understand where their stars are aligning. With days to come, their stance might be more evident.
