Ryan Hollins played ten seasons in the NBA. However, that was almost a decade ago and the now 40-year-old works for the Houston Rockets as an analyst. As he travels with the team for their road games, he was courtside to talk about their matchup against the Washington Wizards.
The 7′ 0″ center has dabbled in sports media since retiring from professional basketball. He was once part of ESPN’s First Take and had a bizarre debate with Shaquille O’Neal about which Los Angeles Lakers greats should make up their Mount Rushmore.
That and a few other bizarre takes saw him leave ESPN at the end of his contract. But that experience helped him land this job with the Houston Rockets. He is often seen speaking courtside along with Rockets play-by-play announcer Craig Ackerman.
However, fans noticed something ahead of the Houston Rockets vs Washington Wizards game tonight that set the internet on fire. A fan captured a screengrab of Ryan Hollins as he turned his head to speak to Ackerman.
The capture shows the former center sporting a fading buzzcut. However, it was evident he used a spray-on to increase his hairline. The fillers evidently cover the area just above his forehead. The 40-year-old has a receding hairline, so his attempts to fill in the space ended up looking obvious.
Bro look at him 😭 pic.twitter.com/BlRlESDvSR

The use of spray-on hairlines is widespread among older players. LeBron James for instance has often been accused of using a spray-on to cover his baldness. But even if the Los Angeles Lakers superstar uses it, it is often a thin spray-on just to cover the bald areas.
Fans take shots at Ryan Hollins’ blatantly evident spray-on hairline
However, in the case of Ryan Hollins, fans felt it was excessively used. Excessive enough to show that the top of his forehead was too dark in comparison to the rest of his hair. To them, it seems as if he tried to apply it himself instead of hiring a hairstylist. If that were the case, the ten-year Pro could have hired someone to do it for him, as doing it himself did not turn out that well.
Fans on social media could not hold themselves back as they drew out all their creativity in the form of trolls. Check out some of those comments below.

Ryan Hollins watched on as his Houston Rockets run away with an easy win over the bottom ranked Washington Wizards. Four of their starters almost had 20 points or more as they won the game 135-112. The win pushes them up to second in the West as their season continues to defy the odds.
