A’ja Wilson is dominating the headlines for the MVP-level play in this WNBA season. But her exploits for her Las Vegas Aces are not the only headline she keeps finding herself in. The constant links to Miami Heat superstar, Bam Adebayo have been heating up ever since the two were spotted together in Las Vegas before the Olympics. Now the Mayor of Miami’s latest words added to those rumors.
Bam Adebayo was a part of the Miami USA Olympics congregation which was being facilitated as part of the ‘keys to the city’ ceremony. When introducing the Heat star, Miami-Dade County mayor Daniella Levine Cava said:
“We also have a visiting Olympian from out of town. A’ja Wilson and she won gold in women’s basketball. I guess that has something to do with Bam and the Heat huh, being here today?”
To this, the 2-time WNBA MVP just went with the flow and broke out into a giggle. She has no connection to South Florida except for her fellow Olympic gold medalist.
If the mayor’s words were anything, then it should also be noted that A’ja Wilson was sitting alongside her father and mother. That too with Adebayo’s mother alongside them as the mayor introduced the Heat superstar. These should be enough links to suggest they are onto something.
The two are at a level where their actions are speaking louder than any word. Shopping together after the Olympics, having custom handshakes, etc. All suggest they are on a relationship path. If there was still any doubt, Wilson’s Aces teammates did their part to add to the rumors.
A’ja Wilson’s teammates add to Bam Adebayo dating rumors
Las Vegas Aces stars Sydney Colson and Chelsea Gray are some of Wilson’s closest friends and teammates. As soon as clippings of this event were shared online, Colson took to her X account and wrote:
If I send you this, just know I’m finna tell on you.

To this Gray added:
“I’m weakkk.”
Gray’s quote with laughing emoticons almost confirms what the basketball world has been pointing to all along. A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo might be unofficially dating.
One has to just ask what the MVP favorite is doing across the country when her team is preparing for the final few games. She willingly accepted the exhaustion travel brings just to be there for the Miami Heat star.
Now that the Las Vegas Aces will look to be the first WNBA franchise to three-peat, it might be Bam Adebayo’s turn to be there for support. By that time, Wilson maybe be a 3-time league MVP, and another title win will cement her greatness.
