At the iconic Noche UFC event, Sean O’Malley faced Merab Dvalishvili in a highly anticipated main event. However, the fight did not unfold as expected for the defending champion. The Georgian challenger delivered a dominant performance, leaving O’Malley overwhelmed and outclassed. For Dvalishvili, it seemed less like a challenge and more like an opportunity to showcase his trolling skills.

In the last few seconds of the second round, Merab Dvalishvili had O’Malley in a hold, but it wasn’t tight enough to get a tap. As the second round was about to end, the ‘Machine’ decided to kiss O’Malley on his back in order to mock him. In a recent interview, the newly crowned champion shared details about the incident.

I was dominating him. When I was choking, it was ten seconds left and I knew he wasn’t gonna tap out. I just gave him a father’s kiss, I just had a little fun there.

Ahead of the fight, both O’Malley and Dvalishvili were engaged in constant online trolling via hilarious skits. This made the rivalry even more intriguing for the fans, who turned in to watch the clash. It seems like the Georgian carried the same energy into the octagon and also managed to destroy O’Malley.

UFC CEO Dana White was also disappointed with O’Malley’s performance and mentioned that the Montana native looked flat. Fans also observed that the fighter was unable to defend any takedowns against Dvalishvili. UFC veteran Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson also pointed out the same in his podcast.

I feel like Sean O’Malley never wanted to fight Merab….He made that fight with his trolling…It’s hard to get in training camp thinking ‘I don’t want this fight.’
