If there is one moment to sum up this Golden State Warrior’s side in 2024, it has to be the Draymond Green saga. From an abysmal start to the season to loss after loss, it has been a nightmare for the Warriors and their fans, which they hope either gets better or ends the very second now. But even amongst the dark times, Draymond himself has given words of encouragement, saying his suspension has helped the team.

After the game, Draymond Green said the following:

I think me getting suspended helped in a weird way. Not that I wanted to get suspended, but I do think that helped us find different things we can go to and explore. Since then, JK has taken off and that has set the stage for this team. Our offense doesn’t look the same as it used to look. We have different things that we’re wanting to do.

It has been a season to forget for Draymond Green who possibly cost a lot to his team in the first half of the season. Green was given a five-game suspension after putting Ruby Gobert from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a chokehold which would go to get even worse. After serving that ban, Green was yet again given an indefinite suspension, keeping him out for 16 games for punching Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the head.

While they certainly missed their Defensive Player of the Year on many occasions, Green himself gave his words that there was some light in the darkness. And whether that may or may not have helped them in a monumental amount, Green still felt their five-game winning streak has a lot to do with it.

It was yet another busy night for Stephen Curry, who was yet again doing what he always does as he contributed 25 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. But it was the other half of the Splash Bros duo, Klay Thompson, who edged Curry by one point by scoring 26 points in their win. Draymond Green, who has been a big miss for the Warriors lately, also played a huge role in their win as he regains his form back.

And while this could be the new beginning after an abysmal start to the season, fans hope that this run continues for their own betterment.
