Sreenath Bhasi, a familiar face from Manjummel Boys, found himself in the spotlight recently for his alleged involvement in a road accident. Reports from Mathrubhumi detailed the incident, stating that the actor was taken into custody after a witness reported a hit-and-run incident involving him in Kochi on October 8.
It was reported that Sreenath collided with a motorcyclist named Faheem and hastily left the scene of the accident. Faheem sustained injuries in the collision, prompting an eyewitness to file a complaint with the local police.
The complaint accused Sreenath of failing to stop and fleeing the accident site. Following a thorough investigation, it was confirmed that the Manjummel Boys star was behind the wheel during the incident.
Subsequently, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) stepped in and suspended Sreenath’s driver’s license for a month. Faheem recounted the harrowing experience, describing how Sreenath’s speeding car collided with his bike, but luckily, bystanders came to his aid.
Despite the tumultuous events, Sreenath was released on bail in connection with the hit-and-run case. This incident came to light shortly after the actor was questioned by authorities in connection with a drug-related gathering at a hotel in Kundannoor. Gangster Omprakash and an associate were apprehended for organizing the event.
Both Sreenath Bhasi and actress Prayaga Martin were interrogated due to their previous visits to the venue. However, law enforcement clarified that there was no evidence linking Sreenath to any wrongdoing in that context.
