Major spoilers on WWE's plan for the main event at Money in the Bank

This year, the most enthralling event of WWE Money in the Bank goes international as it is set to take place in England. On Saturday, July 1st, The O2 Arena in London will host the prestigious event for the first time. As the time draws near, the hype for the show is increasing as WWE has started announcing matches for it. Speculation has been raised about the show’s probable main event.

As the WWE Universe witnessed, Jey Uso made the decision to stay with his twin brother. The Usos have officially bid farewell to The Bloodline, which will be a major rival for the team. As the SmackDown episode ended with Jey super-kicking Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, they will be looking to avenge the betrayal. As a result, the rumored matchup of Roman and Sikoa vs. The Usos could be made official for the London event sooner or later.

The reports from Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer state the same tag-team match will be the main event at the July event. Despite having world title matches and significant non-title matches on the match card, The Bloodline has always been in the main event at many past shows. Being the central storyline in WWE, The Bloodline deserves the spotlight. Hence, The Bloodline’s Civil War match would be seen as the main event of the O2 Arena spectacle.

The match card for Money in the Bank does not look very stacked but is limited to a certain extent. The reason is that the two ladder matches for the briefcase take up much of the whole event. Apart from the ladder matches and rumored main event, the confirmed matches are Seth Rollins defending his title against Finn Balor. While The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio takes on Cody Rhodes.

During the recent episode of RAW, the commentary team made clear the cash-in rule for the MITB contract. The commentators stated that Superstars could use the MITB contract for cashing in on mid-card titles as well. Modifying the previous rule of cashing in on only world titles.

This rule was somewhat implemented last year when Austin Theory tried cashing in his briefcase for the United States Championship. But the cash-in failed as Bobby Lashley demolished Theory. This situation kept the audience in a state of ambiguity about the contract’s rule until now.
