LiAngelo Ball told the hosts a story about how his father taught him to drive a car when he was in seventh grade, which sent his teachers into a frenzy. He explained that this lesson was crucial for emergencies when no driver was available.
Look, my dad taught me how to drive at 11 years old. 12 years old, I’m driving me and Melo to school. Teachers told on me, ‘Why he driving the Escalade? Who did this?’ My dad told me, ‘If I ever get hurt, a heart attack, somebody’s got to drive us back.’ I’m like, ‘That makes sense.’ I’m going to teach my son how to drive like that.

LaVar Ball has been a demanding father, with fans having once accused him of potentially harming his sons’ careers through an overly rigorous training regime. However, there’s no denying that he is their biggest supporter, constantly hyping them and making bold comparisons.
The Ball brothers have experienced mixed success in their professional careers. LaVar himself has faced legal issues that seemed to derail his public image. Lonzo has been battling injuries but appears ready for the new season, while LaMelo has also dealt with injuries, though the Hornets will need him to stay healthy.

Continuing in the tradition of advocating for his sons, LaVar Ball, who has been somewhat quiet since his sons made it to the NBA, recently grabbed attention in an interview on Vlad TV by expressing his desire for all three of his sons to play for the Los Angeles Clippers.
One of his sons, LaMelo Ball is currently under contract with the Charlotte Hornets until the end of the 2028-29 season, unless they decide to trade him. This makes it a distant dream at the moment, as the Hornets see him as a very key player in their future.
I want them all to play for the Clippers… I don’t want to go back to the Lakers on the fact that how you did Lonzo, so why would I bring the other two? Steve Ballmer… That’s my guy. I like him. I like his style. That’s what I tell him. My last name Ball. His last name Ballmer. We’re supposed to ball more.

However, things might change in the Hornets’ plans if his injury problems persist, they might consider moving him. However, even the Clippers may hesitate to take on his large contract given his inconsistent availability. LaMelo’s last season saw him battle with injuries but ended the season with an impressive return of 23 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 8.0 APG.
