LaMelo Ball has found himself in hot waters lately after making an NSFW comment after his matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Ball led his side to a hard-fought win against the Bucks and attended media duties after the game. The star player told the reporters, โWe loaded up, No homo,โ which did not sit well with the NBA as they termed it โa sensitive issue.โ
This led to Ball being fined a whopping $100k by the NBA. However, the Acting Executive Director of the NBA, Andre Iguodala made his feelings known regarding this matter. Iggy attended popular US streamer Kai Cenatโs livestream recently. During the stream, Iggy made a bold assertion regarding the NBA fining Ball for his comments.
During the live stream, Iguodala gave Cenat an explanation of the circumstances. The ex-Golden State Warriors player acknowledged that LaMelo Ballโs remarks are not LGBTQ-friendly. The large fine remains another matter altogether as the amount of $100,000 remains far-fetched.

Iguodala has been a member of the NBPA since 2019, and he has the right to contest the fine. Ball is required to pay if he believes it is excessive. Ball has also realized that his word choice was incorrect. It now remains to be seen how this situation unfolds in the coming weeks/months.

Aside from this, the 6-foot-7 guard is averaging 29.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in 12 games this season. He was chosen as the third pick by the Hornets in the 2020 NBA Draft. He was selected as an NBA All-Star and has also won Rookie of the Year. The youngest Ball brother has immense potential but his conduct in front of the camera might continue to bring him some bad reputation.
