Kristen Bell recently opened up about her dream casting for the live-action version of Disney’s beloved Frozen. The possibility of seeing Anna come to life on the big screen hinges on the film getting the green light sooner rather than later. Frozen, a standout animated hit from Disney in 2013, captured the hearts of audiences worldwide with its magical tale.

The prospect of a live-action adaptation of Frozen has fans buzzing with excitement. During a candid interview with Elle to discuss her latest project, Nobody Wants This, alongside co-star Adam Brody, Bell was asked about her ideal choice to portray Anna in a live-action remake.

“In the live-action?” she playfully mused. After pondering the plethora of talented actors in Hollywood, Bell landed on Joey King, known for her standout performances in the popular Netflix film series, The Kissing Booth.

Anna, the spirited younger sister of Elsa and the princess of the enchanting realm of Arendelle, draws inspiration from the fairy tale character Gerda in Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story, The Snow Queen.

In the original film, Anna embarks on a daring quest to bring her sister Elsa back home after Elsa inadvertently plunges Arendelle into eternal winter with her icy powers. Alongside Elsa, the rugged Kristoff, Anna’s romantic interest, and Sven, Kristoff’s loyal reindeer companion, Anna shines as one of the central figures in the Frozen saga.

Joey King made her silver screen debut in 2008’s Horton Hears A Who! and quickly rose to fame as Ramona Quimby in Ramona and Beezus. Despite her youthful start, King, now in her mid-20s, continues to secure significant roles in the industry.

The possibility of seeing Joey King step into the role of Anna in a live-action Frozen promises to breathe new life into this beloved tale and captivate audiences once again with its enchanting magic.
