Jose Aldo is not going anywhere anytime soon. The Brazilian came out of retirement to fight top bantamweight fighter, Jonathan Martinez at UFC 301. However, fans might not have expected the veteran of the sport to put up such an amazing performance.

The 37-year-old fighter looked exactly like his prime fighting days and put on a masterclass for his home fans. Jose Aldo dominated Martinez for fifteen minutes, winning every single round and ultimately the fight via unanimous decision.

Aldo lost his last fight to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 301 and announced his retirement. On the other hand, Martinez was on a six-win fight streak going into the fight and was the fan favorite. However, Aldo showed his incredible striking and shocked everyone with his win.

After such an amazing performance fans have raised questions about his future. It was Aldo’s last fight in his UFC contract but the fighter has already shared his intentions to extend it. The ’King of Rio’ talked about having a conversation with Dana White about his new contract.

During the post-fight interview at UFC 301, Aldo mentioned that he felt good during the fight. The fighter talked about his age and condition and he might be able to get the belt again.

I said this wasn’t gonna be my last fight. I think I’m in the physique. I still have that age where I can still fight. I see that I can still go forward so, maybe we can come back and become the champion.
