Kevin Durant is an ardent football fan and has kept tabs on everything happening in that sport. He also saw Daniel Jones come in and be the starter for the New York Giants during his time in Brooklyn. Now, as he plays for the Phoenix Suns, he has watched the QB become unemployed.
Daniel Jones was infamously relegated to the scout teams as the Giants looked to avoid paying him for any future injury. But that situation escalated, and the quarterback asked for a release. Now, he has cleared waivers and is looking to join a contender.
However, it also poses questions about his future in the NFL. For a player who was paid $160 million to be the future of the franchise to leave in this manner was not what he had in mind. Suns superstar Kevin Durant had the same opinion when asked on the latest episode of Up & Adams.
While wishing Daniel Jones a better future in the league, the 6โฒ 11โณ football fan also hoped the New York Giants did well in the future. He cited that he wants to see sporting teams do well. But also knows all too well the Giants fumbled the bag on several decisions with Jonesโ being the latest.

He also added that what the Giants thought when demoting and then releasing their former quarterback in that manner is unknown. Durant feels they know something him and fans have no idea about. But even then, he hoped the QB can find a team where he can shine.
Kevin Durant on missing seven games
Durant has missed the last seven games this season due to a calf strain. During that time, his Phoenix Suns lost six games that plummeted them from the top spots in the Western Conference. When Kay Adams asked him how he felt watching his team go through that while he was out, he said.
The two-time champion mentioned that as his team was on the road for most of those games, he was all alone working on his rehab. On top of that, he watched the games and saw his team lose game after game.

Other than the rest, Kevin Durant mentioned enjoying being able to reset his mind. Considering the long season ahead, he maximized that time in the best possible way. On returning to the lineup, KD and his teammates won against the Los Angeles Lakers in epic fashion.
