But she did not let their rivalry hold her back from appreciating the enormous feat Clark had just achieved.
Angel Reese is not known to mince her words when it comes to rivals. But she sure knows to appreciate greatness when she sees one. Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes met Reese and her LSU Tigers during last season’s NCAA finals. Reese tweeted from her official Twitter account after Clark created history. She wrote;

Caitlin Clark entered yesterday’s game 8 points short of the all-time record for top women’s scorer in NCAA history. She not only broke the record but also did it in emphatic style. Finishing the game with 49 points, the record is Clark’s at 3569 with 4 more games to go in the regular season.
Reese knows this feat is enormous as it took 7 years to beat the record. Clark has been widely regarded as the best collegiate women’s basketball player of this generation. Clark might go down in history books as one of the best ever.

Angel Reese is best known for taunting Clark during their championship game last season. Reese created folklore by trolling Clark’s ‘you can’t see me’ gesture with Reese’s LSU Tigers up on Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes in the championship. She added the ring gesture towards the end of the game to further taunt Clark.
