The broadcast mistaking Terence Crawford for Not Like Us rapper Kendrick Lamar didn’t go unnoticed. Some would have deemed it as disrespect. However, the undefeated boxer felt it was funny.
It was funny because everybody was texting me saying he’s Terance Thorton, I’m Terence Crawford, man I’m whooping feet. To be honest, I think it was intentionally done just for laughter because how can you get us mixed up? But all in all, it was funny to me.

It was nice to see that Crawford found the funny side of the blunder. The internet has certainly applauded ‘Bud’ for not making a big issue out of the mishap. This resulted in a frenzy on the internet after many fans started addressing the boxer as Kendrick Lamar. Crawford also attended the other major fight in Las Vegas – the Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga fight.
Terence Crawford also had a physical altercation with fellow boxer Teofimo Lopez at the Canelo fight. With such big names and fights happening at the same time, there was no doubt that some heated callouts were prone to occur. With both Canelo and Crawford at the peak of their careers, this fight is surely one of the biggest in the modern boxing era. With big names comes big money, as both fighters are only ready to fight for the right price.
Crawford, coming off big victories, has hinted to fight again only if the money was right. Having the likes of Alalshikh promoting a fight of this magnitude, one can only hope he can get them to sign on the dotted line. Eventually, the fight will only happen if Alvarez wants it to happen.
