The last time Conor McGregor grazed the UFC octagon was at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. He will make his comeback at UFC 303 against Michael Chandler. After the International Fight Week PPV main event fight against Chandler on June 29, McGregor plans to fight multiple times.
Oscar Willis of The MacLife recently interviewed McGregor, where the Irishman sent a stern warning to Chandler. Interestingly, Chandler had recently revealed that he manifested fighting McGregor and that he plans to fight for the title next. Interestingly, McGregor had also planned after UFC 303.
We’ve got [Michael] Chandler in June, obviously. September is Mexican Independence Day, potentially someone with Mexican heritage. Maybe [Nate] Diaz, I think that would be perfect. I don’t know the internet, I kind of thought that would be a lovely one. I’m up for anyone, that’s the truth.

McGregor revealed that he had no hesitance to fight anybody after UFC 303. The Irishman wanted to stay active in the sport and felt loads of matchups were available for him in the promotion. He has aspirations to become the BMF and welterweight champion as well.
McGregor has no problems making the lightweight limit but stated it was a difficult weight cut. Nonetheless, if a title opportunity arises, he would have no problems making the weight. However, the BMF and welterweight title seems to be the priority for the Irishman over the 155lbs strap.
Michael Chandler vows to bring chaos to Conor McGregor
Michael Chandler has an inferior UFC record of 2-3. However, the three-time Bellator lightweight champion has already bagged four post-fight bonuses. Moreover, he also won the UFC’s Debut of the Year Award in 2021 and the Fight of the Year award in the same year.
Chandler has not fought since he lost via submission to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281. He has waited several months to bag the fight with McGregor and is confident of his chances. He recently tweeted a video montage where notable MMA personalities like Joe Rogan, Jon Anik, Luke Thomas, and Brendan Schaub, praise Chandler.
All of Chandler’s fights in the UFC have been chaotic. Moreover, he had hurt all of his opponents but lost due to recklessness. Islam Makhachev will put his lightweight title on the line against Poirier at UFC 302, weeks before UFC 303.
The winner of Makhachev vs. Poirier will likely fight Arman Tsarukyan. Chandler was critical of Tsarukyan for refusing to fight Makhachev on short notice. Moreover, the American fighter stated he could get a title shot if he defeated McGregor at UFC 303.
