LeBron James‘ fandom clearly has no bounds. In a recently surfaced video, it appears that the LA Lakers star has fans in the K-pop industry as well. The video featuring Kim Chae-Won has since then gone viral on the internet with the fans having a field day of her LeBron James mimicry.
In a video presently making rounds on the internet, K-pop star Kim Chae-Won is featured along with her music group. She seems to be mimicking a LeBron James gesture, with a twist of her own. Beside her clip, there is attached another clip of the Lakers star himself who is performing the move at one of his games.
The match was an easy task considering Kim Chae-Won donned a Lakers jersey with LeBron James’ number 23 on it. However, that wasn’t the first time the star has referenced the four-time MVP or given her support.
It is also not the first time the K-pop star and her group have shown interest in the NBA, especially the Lakers. Kim Chae-Won is a member of a K-pop group called Le Sserafim. The group visited the United States of America back in 2023 to promote their single, ‘Perfect Night’. While they had a busy schedule, they took some time off to visit a Lakers basketball game. On the way, they bumped into the paparazzi who enquired one of the members, Yunjin, about her favorite Lakers player.

To the internet’s pleasure, she named LeBron James. Their visit went extremely viral back then as well. Their association with the NBA further deepened when the group announced a partnership to promote the league in Asia. Having said that, the group is doing an appropriate job in marketing the league as the Internet enjoys Kim Chae-Won’s impression of James.
Internet can’t get enough of Kim Chae-Won’s LeBron James impression
Ever since the clip saw the light of the day, the internet has made sure to keep it rolling. As of now, neither Kim Chae-Won nor LeBron James has made any comment on it.
However, the users on X have. One of them even made critical comparisons of the difference between the two. Here are some of the reactions:

The memes have only started to come in and it likely will stay for a long time. One thing’s for sure, the clip has turned the heads of some of the NBA fans towards the K-pop industry. Additionally, the fans now want to see the group together with LeBron James. With both of them supporting each other on digital platforms, it might as well happen.
