Just imagine if it really ends up happening. On this weekโs Raw, Seth Rollins confirmed another open challenge for his World Heavyweight Championship for next week. That counts as the second title defense for The Visionary in a span of three weeks. As promised, Rollins is already living up to his word of being a full-time World Champion that actually wants to put that gold at stake, unlike certain someone.
Also, after next week, The Architect will head to London for Money in the Bank. At the iconic 02 arena, he meets a familiar foe. And yes, just as everyone wouldโve guessed by now, itโs Finn Balor. These two men had an intense promo segment on Raw last night. Although the faceoff was pleasing for Rollins as Wichita kept serenading to his battle hymn, it was actually distracting for Balor.
Nevertheless, theyโll settle the differences on July 1st in London. However, letโs focus on whatโs there next week. As noted, since winning the gold at Night of Champions, Rollins heads to Cleveland next week where heโll hold an open challenge. Although no one has stepped up to The Visionary just yet, the wait might not last longer.
Shortly after the challenge was laid out, Johnny Gargano tweeted out something very interesting. He simply said, โYou know what they sayโฆ.. thereโs no place like home ๐โ. Without saying much, he teased an appearance on Raw next week which happens to be in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Also, thereโs a huge possibility that he ends up answering Rollinsโ open challenge.
Did Seth Rollins and Johnny Gargano ever had a match in WWE?
Even though Johnny Gargano was called-up on Raw last August, heโs yet to square off against Rollins in a singles match. Thatโs quite strange as Johnny Wrestling was one of the hottest prospects during his NXT days. Moreover, WWE CCO and current NXT creative lead Shawn Michaels always had a special place in their hearts for Gargano. At one point, he was groomed to be the next HBK.
Well, with King of Kings in-charge on the main-roster, plans to push Johnny Gargano havenโt dropped yet. Instead, according to BWE on Twitter, heโs soon going to reform his iconic tag team named as the DIY from NXT. That would eventually see the return of Tomasso Ciampa in the fold. Itโs noted that theyโre likely to challenge for the Tag-Team titles at SummerSlam this year.
