Jimmy Butler is currently in a stalemate with his employers, the Miami Heat. After he voiced his interests in moving to a different team, the franchise have suspended him. The superstar though, is also dealing with a situation in his personal life, as his lawyers are trying to help him out.
The 35-year-old has three children with his former girlfriend Kaitlin Nowak. Eldest child, daughter Rylee (5), son Brayan (2), and one-year-old Kian. However, he had left Nowak a while before the birth of Kian, which forced her to launch an October 2023 petition to establish paternity.
Butler now shares joint custody with Nowak and pays approximately $55,000 per month towards child support. However, the Daily Mail learnt of a secret paternity filing initiated by Butler and his lawyers. The Mail summarized this in their exclusive piece.
But the Heat forward, 35, wants to know why his brunette ex-lover is billing him a further $10,000 every month for a nanny he claims she doesn’t even need.

The Mail revealed that this came about after Jimmy Butler and his lawyer’s noticed Kaitlin Nowak was billing him an additional $10,000. In December 2023, the couple had a mediation where the Miami Heat superstar agreed to temporarily fund ‘nanny’ expenses.
However, the elder two children will start school and preschool soon, therefore, they feel the need for a nanny is unnecessary. Butler feels the additional $10,000 is unnecessary over the ‘tremendous amount of child support’ he already pays.
Jimmy Butler’s lawyers allege Kaitlin Nowak prefers to stay unemployed
Butler and Kaitlin Nowak had a near five-year relationship but never tied the knot. Therefore, she is not entitled to marital alimony that arises out of a divorce. With that in mind, the Miami Heat guard’s lawyers allege that Nowak (34), is trying to extract more money out of their client, as quoted by the Mail.
It must be pointed out that the father and Mother were never married. Mother is not entitled to live as if she is married to a National Basketball Association (NBA) player. Mother is unemployed and refuses to seek employment.

The six-time All-Star is trying to get one last big payday. As the Miami Heat have seemingly indicated that they will not give him that extension, he now wants to leave. Talks are still going on with trade partners with the Phoenix Suns touted as a possible destination.
