After the championship victory, he was selected to represent Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Despite Tatum not getting enough playing time, Team USA still won the gold medal. Recently, Jayson Tatum also was a special guest on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
On the show, Fallon remarked that Tatum’s son, Deuce, should be considered part of the Celtics due to his constant support of the team. Tatum then mentioned that Deuce would also be receiving an NBA championship ring. Deuce has been a constant source of support and has regularly attended his father’s games. After their championship victory, Deuce was thrilled to see his father win an NBA title.

NBA insider feels Jayson Tatum will likely never win an MVP
In the last few years fans have seen the rise of Jayson Tatum. Tatum has cemented himself as one of the best players in the league currently. He has been a part of three All-NBA first teams in the last five years. But Tatum is still yet to win an MVP award.
Zach Lowe, an NBA insider, recently made a bold prediction about Tatum on the show NBA on ESPN. According to Lowe, Tatum will retire without winning the MVP award because of his playing style.
It’s probably much more likely than not that Jayson Tatum never wins the MVP, that’s the most likely scenario for his career. He was already the best player on the best team [last season] and finished sixth, he [Tatum] just doesn’t put up the same kind of numbers as Jokic, Embiid, SGA, Giannis, and add probably a couple guys to that list that are coming.

Lowe also pointed out that Tatum doesn’t put up the same numbers as players like Luka Doncic and Shai-Gilgeous Alexander, and he lacks in assists as well.
The take didn’t sit well with many NBA fans as Tatum has averaged great numbers last season with 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists. However, it is true that Tatum doesn’t put a triple double stat line like Nikola Jokic or a great offensive stat line like Luka Doncic.
