Although it wasn’t the 39-year-old actress, it was her 22-year-old son Kniko who is the same age as her boyfriend Jalen Green. A recent shot came from Jalen Rose‘s daughter Mariah Rose who was flabbergasted at the couple’s age gap.
Mariah Rose recently went on the internet to express her thoughts over Draya Michele and Jalen Green’s unconventional relationship. A 17-year age gap between the couple left the former NBA player’s daughter bewildered.
Additionally, Mariah Rose shared her eternal perplexity over Draya Michele’s ability to be infatuated with Jalen Green who is the same age as his son Kniko. In the said video, Rose called out a tweet that reported the actor’s presence at a recent game and wished them love.
The point is, it’s weird. How are you even attracted to somebody who’s the same age as your child that you raised?

Mariah Rose further quipped that all age gaps were not equal. To back her statement up, she pulled up a post reacted by Draya Michele that had a picture of Mariah Carey(58) dating Anderson Paak(38). Michele conveniently reacted that it was the latter couple’s 17-year age gap that had brought them happiness. In Rose’s humble opinion, 17 years meant different in both scenarios considering Michele recently had a baby with the 22-year-old.
Draya Michele and Jalen Rose have had a romantic relationship since August 2023. Almost a year later, the two welcomed their daughter in May 2024. The former is a staunch supporter of the Houston Rockets often sharing posts of her support. However, all the fire unleashed when Michele went courtside with Kniko at the Houston vs. Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jalen Green and Draya Michele ‘don’t care’ about the criticisms around their 17-year age gap
The internet has never not been a fire ground for Jalen Green and Draya Michele. Back when the latter announced the pregnancy with the Rocket’s star, the people scrutinized the huge move in their relationship. While that continues, the couple have found a way of dealing with it their own way.
In an interview with the TMZ, Draya Michele shared that they tried to stay off of the internet and block out the noise. The Basketball Wives LA star was confused over people’s disagreement with their relationship. She further stated that it was consensual individuals being affectionate towards one another, dismissing people’s opposition.

More than a year later, the couple proceeded to thrive past the critics and stay together. Besides her daughter with Green, Draya Michele is a mom to 2 children from previous relationships. Meanwhile, the Houston Rocket star had reportedly welcomed another child with a woman named Myah Lakopo months prior to starting a family with Draya.
