Jake Paul is one of the biggest names in the world of combat sports. Trolling and boasting are his way of engaging with the community. He built his professional boxing career around beating retired UFC legends. Going forward, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has plans to continue, but this time, he’s chasing the active champion, Alex Pereira.
Paul initially targeted Alex Pereira following his recent boxing victory over former UFC fighter Mike Perry. Paul and Pereira also connected via FaceTime inside the ring. Pereira recently defended his light heavyweight championship against Khalil Rountree at UFC 307. This has given Paul more confidence in his claims to fight Pereira.
Unlike his previous fights, Pereira had to dig deep to get the win at UFC 307. Against all odds, Rountree put on an incredible performance, winning early rounds. Paul claimed that the fight showed a lot of flaws in the Brazilian’s game, and he would happily exploit it in a boxing bout.
Jake Paul says he would “1000%” beat Alex Pereira in a boxing match and says his fight with Khalil Rountree exposed holes in his game 😬

In the past, Pereira has shown interest in moving to boxing. The Brazilian fighter recently talked about collaborating with Dana White in his upcoming boxing venture. While the chances of Pereira fighting Paul are slim, it won’t be surprising to see Paul pulling it off like his other fights.
Former UFC heavyweight champion warns Jake Paul about Alex Pereira
Jake Paul’s rivalry with Dana White is a major reason why fans are unsure about him fighting Alex Pereira. The pair have beefed for a long time with little to no space for compromise. After the ‘Problem Child’ called out Pereira, White didn’t even acknowledge it. Moreover, the UFC boss chose to ignore him as he always does.
Paul did, however, get White’s attention with his recent stunt of discreetly sneaking into UFC 306. Nonetheless, the ‘Problem Child’ feels confident in his prospects of defeating Pereira, but he did receive a warning from a former UFC champion. In a podcast with Francis Ngannou, Paul received an answer from the heavyweight.
Other than Ngannou, former UFC champion and Paul’s business partner, Sean O’Malley, also gave a similar opinion about the fight. Currently, Paul is scheduled to fight the legendary Mike Tyson on November 15th. It would be interesting to see what’s next for Paul after the Tyson fight.
