The infamous kick to the cup, leading to a confusing moment with the referee, saw Hill lose the match-up via KO. Ever since then, Hill has been bitter about his loss to Alex Pereira, itching to right that wrong. This gave rise to a strange beef between the duo, which led to Hill confronting the champion at UFC PI.
Now, UFC vet Michael Johnson has offered his reaction to it. The fateful confrontation didn’t exactly go as the American fighter had intended, attracting criticism from the MMA community. Johnson shared his take on the issue, which didn’t sit well with Hill.

The budding rivalry between Hill and Pereira could lead to a second fight between the two. For now, ‘Sweet Dreams’ is booked to face Jiri Prochazka at UFC 311 on January 18th. The Czech fighter also offered his take on the ongoing trash talk between him and Hill, linking it to insecurity. Hill, in his response to Johnson, belittled his compatriot, highlighting the difference between their careers.

The light heavyweight crown could be up for grabs against the number 1 ranked contender, Magomed Ankalev, next.
